My name is Lindsay, I’m a wildlife artist living in central Alberta. The medium I use for my artwork is white charcoal. My passion for drawing started when I was quite young, and as I got older it stuck with me. Drawing was always a hobby for me but not many people actually knew about it. It was quite easy for me to get caught up in my day-to-day and sometimes I’d go so long without drawing that I would forget I even could. After years of looking at it as simply a hobby, I finally made the decision to do something with it.
Growing up in a family that loves the outdoors, I was able to experience some really cool things. I have been fortunate enough to see a three legged coyote mousing, I watched a grey owl on a successful hunt, and I’ve come a lot closer to a bull moose than I would like. These experiences, and so many others like it, are what fuel that passion and breathe life into my work. I aspire to deliver artwork that evokes these feelings in other outdoor enthusiasts as well.
